Specialty: Ophthalmology Interests: Cataract surgery Qualifications: MB BS (Hons), FRANZCO, FRACS Dr Benecke trained at Sydney Eye Hospital and has been in private practice in Hornsby for 20 years. He is a member of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists. Dr Benecke regularly participates in Australian and New Zealand Congress of Ophthalmology meetings and has participated in meetings of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, the Asia Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology and the World Congress of Ophthalmology. Dr Benecke has performed thousands of cataract operations for the people of Sydney and environs including local doctors and specialist doctors. He has also worked as a volunteer cataract surgeon with AUSAID and the Royal Australian College of Surgeons in the Pacific Islands Program. Dr Benecke has worked as the Chairman of the Section of Ophthalmology at Sydney Adventist Hospital and has served on the Medical Advisory Board of the San Day Surgery Hornsby. |
